UBCS
is a one-stop shop that provides a full range of services
related to the computer systems we sell.
Consulting:
UBCS provides consulting services to analyze your
operations and determine which system and software will
best suit your needs. Recommendations will be made
involving customized software, so that the system can adapt
to meet the needs of your business, and not require your
business to adapt to the machine.
Site
Preparation: UBCS will survey your site to determine
cabling, electrical, and environmental requirements prior
to the installation of any of our systems.
Maintenance:
UBCS will service your Alpha Microsystems computer as best
suits you:
Time
and Materials: If you do not wish to have a service
contract, we will respond and service your system, billing
time and materials as required.
Loaner
Contract: For a low annual fee, we will guarantee
to maintain an inventory of parts to service your machine,
in the event that the parts or machine becomes discontinued,
and/or to provide you with a temporary replacement within
24 hours should your machine become defective, be destroyed
(fire), or stolen. Parts and labour are not covered
by this contract, only their availability.
Full
maintenance contract: Loaner contract, which also
covers parts and labour in the event of a failure, theft,
or fire.
Training:
We provide training and instruction, by the hour,
for new staff, old staff, installation, operations, etc.,
as required.
Custom
Software: UBCS will design and write custom software
to your specifications, either by the hour or on contract;
we will design or modify programs that will reduce repetitive
labor intensive tasks. UBCS adapts the software to
your business, and not your business to the software. UBCS
will integrate such software with our own software to suit
your needs, as either stand-alone software, or merged with
your existing software (provided you have the source code).
Depending on circumstances, UBCS may even decompile
your existing software to provide you with source code for
needed (and future) modifications.
Hardware
Installation: UBCS provides services to cable
your building, UPSs for power failures, and installation
of our quality Alpha Microsystems computers and UBCS software.
UBCS will install new hardware components such as disk drives,
operating systems, LANs, email, fax modems, and other software/hardware
related items. UBCS will even install PCs as terminals
or workstations to the Alphas Microsystems computer.
Data
Transfer: UBCS will transfer data to different
media for distribution or intercompany/ intermachine requirements.
Data
conversion: UBCS will convert data from one format
to another when required.
Web
Design: UBCS will design and assist in the implementation
of company Web sites.
Data
Recovery: UBCS will recover data from damaged or failed
disk drives, VCR tapes, and streamer tapes.
